Art and Creativity
Creativity is intelligence having fun- Albert Einstein.
Art goes back a long way when humans began inhabiting the earth. It was pronounced in every new invention, culture and lifestyle that took shape. In the context of the modern world, art and creativity defines everything, from cars to websites. There is not a single field of work that does not require a creative mind working on it. Therefore, it is essential to start nurturing creativity at a young age. Art unlocks the heart and mind to opportunities and fuels imagination. It is a learning process to create ourselves and experience the world in new ways. It supports the larger view of life: beauty, symbols, spirituality, storytelling, and allows us to be present in the moment.
When children experiment with materials, they explore science. Most importantly, when kids feel good while creating, art helps boost self-confidence. Children who can experiment and make mistakes feel free to invent new ways of thinking, which extends well beyond the craft room.
By introducing creativity to children at a young age, they adopt it as a way of life as they grow up, prompting them to give a creative angle to everything that they do. Perfection in their work also stems out from a creative mind.
At the helm of every enterprise is an artist who thinks out of the box to make what he does special. It is in this creativity that his success lies.
International Advisor for education in arts, Sir Ken Robinson said, “Creativity should be treated with the same status as literacy in Education.” That is how great a role creativity plays in a child’s life.
